1. दसरा (निबंध)

हिंदू संस्कृतीतील अतिशय महत्त्वाचा समजला जाणारा सण दसरा. संपूर्ण भारतात अतिशय उत्साहात साजरा केला जाणारा दसरा हा सण आहे. ज्ञानाने अज्ञानावर, सत्याने असत्यावर, प्रकाशाने अंध:कारावर मिळवलेला विजय म्हणजे दसरा.दसऱ्याला विजयादशमी असेही म्हणतात. साडेतीन मुहूर्तापैकी एक मानला जाणारा दसरा हा सण अश्विन शुद्ध दशमीला साजरा केला जातो. नवरात्र संपल्यानंतर दहाव्या दिवशी दसरा किंवा विजयादशमी हा दिवस साजरा करतात. या दिवसाच्या वेगवेगळ्या परंपरा आहेत. रामाने याच दिवशी रावणाचा वध करून लंकेवर विजय मिळविला होता. याच दिवशी दुर्गा देवीने महिषासुराचा युद्ध करून त्याला ठार मारले, शिवाजी महाराजांनी प्रतापगडावर भवानीदेवीच्या उत्साहाला दसरा या दिवसापासून सुरुवात केली. पांडव अज्ञातवासात निघाले त्यावेळी त्यांनी आपली शस्त्रे शमीच्या झाडावर लपवून ठेवली होती व अज्ञातवास पूर्ण केल्यानंतर आपली शस्त्रे परत घेऊन त्यांनी शमीची पूजा केली तो हाच दिवस मानला जातो.

भारतात आजही मोठ्या उत्साहात व आनंदात दसरा हा सण साजरा केला जातो. या दिवशी लोक नवीन वस्तू, घर, गाडी खरेदी करतात. तसेच दसऱ्याच्या दिवशी सोन्या-चांदीचे दागिने खरेदी केली जातात. काही लोक या दिवसापासून नवीन व्यवसाय सुरु करतात. प्राचीन काळी राजे लोक या दिवशी युद्धास निघत असत.

दसऱ्याच्या दिवशी संपूर्ण घर सजविले जाते. घरातील वाहने, शस्त्रे धुवून स्वच्छ करतात.घराला झेंडूचे फुले,आंब्याच्या पानांचे तोरण लावतात.संध्याकाळी घरामध्ये पूजा मांडली जाते. पूजेमध्ये वह्या-पुस्तके, शस्त्रे, दागिने इत्यादी वस्तूंची पूजा केली जाते. महिला गोडाचा स्वयंपाक करतात. पूजा आटोपल्यानंतर थोरामोठ्यांचा आशीर्वाद घेण्यासाठी लोक एकमेकांना भेटतात एकमेकांना आपट्याची पाने देऊन दसऱ्याच्या शुभेच्छा देतात. आपट्याची पाने एकमेकांना भेट स्वरूपात देण्यासाठी ही दंतकथा आहे. फार वर्षापूर्वी वरतंतू नावाचे ऋषी होते. त्यांच्या आश्रमात खूप विद्यार्थी विद्याभ्यासासाठी येत असत. त्यापैकी एक कौत्स हा एक विद्यार्थी वरतंतू या ऋषीकडे अभ्यास करत असे. त्या काळी विद्याज्ञानाच्या मोबदल्यात शिष्य गुरूंना गुरुदक्षिणा देत असत. कौत्सलाही गुरूंना गुरु दक्षिणा द्यायची होती परंतु वरतंतूना कोणतीच गुरुदक्षिणा नको होती. परंतु कौत्स काही ऐकेना तेव्हा वरतंतूनी कौत्सची परीक्षा घेण्याचे ठरविले. त्यासाठी एका विद्येसाठी एककोटी सुवर्णमुद्रा याप्रमाणे त्यांनी कौत्सला चौदा विद्या शिकविल्या त्याप्रमाणे चौदा कोटी सुवर्ण मुद्रा मागितल्या.

चौदा कोटी सुवर्ण मुद्रा कौत्साला जमवणे शक्य झाले नाही मग तो रघुराजांकडे गेला पण रघुराजानी आपली सर्व संपत्ती दान केली होती. याचक रिकाम्या हाती परत जावू नये म्हणून त्यांनी कौत्सास तीन दिवसांनी परत येण्यास सांगितले आणि कुबेराकडे धनाची मागणी केली परंतु कुबेर काही धन पाठवेना म्हणून त्यांनी आक्रमणाची तयारी केली. ही बातमी इंद्राला समजली, आक्रमण टाळण्यासाठी त्याने कुबेराला रघुराजाच्या राज्यातील आपट्याच्या वृक्षांवर सुवर्णमुद्रांचा पाऊस पडण्यास सांगितले. सुवर्णमुद्रांचा पाऊस पाहून राजाने कौत्सास बोलाविले आणि पाहिजे तेवढं धन घेण्यास सांगितले.मात्र कौत्साने गुरुदक्षिणे पुरतेच धन घेतले. बाकीच्या सुवर्ण मुद्रा रघुराजाने लोकांना वाटून दिल्या. लोकांना धन मिळाले तो दिवस दसऱ्याचा होता त्या दिवसाचे स्मरण म्हणून दसऱ्याला लोक एकमेकांना आपट्याची पाने देतात.

2. दसरा

विविधतेने नटलेल्या आपल्या देशात अनेक जातीधर्माचे, विविध संस्कृतीचे लोक राहतात. लोकांच्या विविधतेप्रमाणेच भारतात विविध सण साजरे केले जातात. त्यापैकीच खूप मोठ्या प्रमाणावर साजरा करण्यात येणारा सण म्हणजे दसरा.

मला दसरा हा सण खूप आवडतो. घटस्थापनेनंतर दहाव्या दिवशी दसरा हा सण साजरा करतात.दसऱ्यालाच विजयादशमी असेही म्हणतात.या दिवशी रामाने रावणावर विजय मिळविला होता असे म्हटले जाते. घटस्थापनेत नऊ दिवस नवरात्र उत्सव साजरा केला जातो. खूप ठिकाणी नऊ दिवस देवीची यात्रा भरते. यात्रेमुळे आमच्या गावात उत्साहाचे आणि आनंदाचे वातावरण असते. आम्ही यात्रेत खुप खुप मजा करतो. यात्रेत विविध वस्तू खरेदी करतो. मला फुगे खुप आवडतात. दरवर्षी मी विविध रंगांचे फुगे घेतो. अकाशपळणा खेळतो. नऊ दिवस देवीची आरती झाल्यानंतर आम्ही वेगवेगळ्या कार्यक्रमाचे, खेळाचे आयोजन करतो.

दहाव्या दिवशी दसरा हा दिवस असतो.त्यादिवशी आई सकाळीच उठून दारापुढे सुंदर रांगोळी काढते. आम्ही सर्वजण सकाळपासूनच दसऱ्याचा तयारीला लागतो. माझे वडील घरातील वाहने धुतात मीही त्यांना या कामात मदत करतो.आई विविध लोखंडी वस्तू, शेतीची अवजारे धुवून घेते. ताई आणि मी झेंडूच्या फुलांचे हार व आंब्याचे तोरण तयार करून ते घराला लावतो.संध्याकाळी सर्वजण नवे कपडे परिधान करतात. आई पूजेची तयारी करते.यात शेतीची अवजारे, शस्त्रे, दागिने,वह्या पूजा झाल्यानंतर आम्ही थोरामोठ्यांचे आशीर्वाद घेण्यासाठी आपट्याची पाने देऊन त्यांना भेटायला जातो.

 या दिवशी रात्री रावणाची प्रतिकृती तयार करून त्याच्या पुतळ्याचे दहन केले जाते.

 Dussehra is a very important festival in Hindu culture. Dussehra is one of the most celebrated festivals in India. Dussehra is the victory of knowledge over ignorance, truth over falsehood, light over darkness. Dussehra is also called Vijayadashami. Dussehra, one of the three and a half muhurats, is celebrated on Ashwin Shuddha Dashmi. Dussehra or Vijayadashami is celebrated on the tenth day after the end of Navratra. There are different traditions of this day. Rama had conquered Lanka by killing Ravana on the same day. On the same day Goddess Durga fought and killed Mahishasura, Shivaji Maharaj started the excitement of Bhavani Devi on Pratapgad from the day of Dussehra. When the Pandavas went into exile, they hid their weapons on the shami tree and after completing the ajnatavas, they took back their weapons and worshiped shami.

  Dussehra is still celebrated in India with great enthusiasm and joy. On this day people buy new things, house, car. Also, gold and silver ornaments are bought on the day of Dussehra. Some people start a new business these days. In ancient times kings and people used to go to war on this day.

   On the day of Dussehra the whole house is decorated. They wash and clean the vehicles and weapons in the house. Marigold flowers and mango leaves are planted in the house. In the evening, pooja is offered in the house. Books, weapons, ornaments etc. are worshiped in the puja. Women cook legumes. After the pooja is over, people meet each other to seek the blessings of the elders. It is a legend to give apatya leaves as a gift to each other. Many years ago there was a sage named Vartantu. Many students used to come to his ashram for education. One of them was Kauts, a student who was studying with the sage Vartantu. In those days, disciples used to give Gurudakshina to Guru in exchange for knowledge. Kautsalahi also wanted to give Guru Dakshina to the Guru but Vartantuna did not want any Gurudakshina. But when Kauts did not hear anything, he decided to take Kauts's test. For this, he asked for fourteen crores of gold coins, just like one crore gold coins for one Vidya.

    It was not possible for Kautsa to collect 14 crore gold coins, so he went to Raghuraj, but Raghuraj had donated all his wealth. He begged Kautsas to return after three days so that the beggar would not return empty-handed and demanded money from Kubera but Kubera did not send any money so he prepared to attack. The news reached Indra, who told Kubera to rain gold coins on the apatya trees in Raghuraja's kingdom to prevent an attack. Seeing the rain of gold coins, the king called Kautsa and asked him to take as much money as he wanted. But Kautsa took enough money for Gurudakshina The rest of the gold coins were distributed by Raghuraja to the people. People give apatya leaves to Dussehra to commemorate the day when people got money.

        In our diverse country, people of many castes and cultures live. Different festivals are celebrated in India just like the diversity of people. Dussehra is one of the most widely celebrated festivals.

         I love Dussehra very much. Dussehra is celebrated on the tenth day after the marriage. Dussehra is also called Vijayadashami. It is said that Rama conquered Ravana on this day. Navratra festival is celebrated for nine days in Ghatsthapana. In many places, the pilgrimage to the Goddess lasts for nine days. Due to the yatra, there is an atmosphere of excitement and joy in our village. We have a lot of fun traveling. Buys a variety of items on the trip. I love balloons. Every year I take balloons of different colors. Akashpalana plays. After nine days of Aarti of Goddess, we organize various programs and games.

          On the tenth day, Dussehra is the day. We all start preparing for Dussehra from morning. My mother make rangoli in front of the door. My father washes the cars in the house and I help him with this. Tai and I make a garland of marigold flowers and a mango pylon and put it in the house. In the evening everyone wears new clothes. The mother prepares for the puja. After the pooja, we go to meet the elders by giving them apatya leaves to seek their blessings.

          On this day at night, a statue of Ravana is made and his idol is burnt.
