ओळख थोर नेत्यांची कर्मवीर भाऊराव पाटील

22 सप्टेंबर 1887 रोजी कोल्हापूर जिल्ह्यातील कुंभोज या गावी कर्मवीर भाऊराव पाटील यांचा जन्म झाला. त्यांचे मूळ गाव ऐतवडे. कोल्हापुरात शिक्षण घेत असताना सत्यशोधक समाजाचे त्यांच्यावर संस्कार झाले. महात्मा फुले, वि.रा.शिंदे,शाहू महाराज यांच्या विचारांचा व कार्याचा त्यांच्यावर प्रभाव पडला. दुधगाव येथे दुधगाव विद्या प्रसारक मंडळ (1920 )व दुधागाव विद्यार्थी आश्रमाची स्थापना केली.4 ऑक्टोबर 1919 रोजी काले,ता. कऱ्हाड, जिल्हा सातारा येथे रयत शिक्षण संस्थेची स्थापना केली. शिक्षणामध्ये स्वावलंबन, स्वाध्याय ,स्वाभिमान व स्वातंत्र्य या तत्त्वांवर भर दिला. रयत शिक्षण संस्थेतर्फे अनेक प्राथमिक शाळा, माध्यमिक शाळा, महाविद्यालये व वसतिगृहे स्थापन केली गेली. महाराष्ट्रातील सर्वात मोठी शिक्षण संस्था सिल्वर जुबिली रुरल ट्रेनिंग कॉलेज स्थापन केले.सर्व धर्म जातींसाठी सामाईक वसतीगृहांची स्थापना केली. रयत शिक्षण संस्थेच्या वतीने महाराष्ट्रभर जवळजवळ 700 प्राथमिक शाळा उघडण्यात आल्या पुढे या शाळा संस्थेने महाराष्ट्र शासनास सुपूर्त केल्या. सध्या रयत शिक्षण संस्थेच्या महाराष्ट्रात इंग्रजी माध्यमाच्या पाच माध्यमिक शाळांसह एकूण 438 माध्यमिक शाळा असून या संस्थेच्या वतीने एक अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालय, एक विधी महाविद्यालय व एक अध्यापक महाविद्यालय यांच्यासह एकूण 42 सामान्य शिक्षण विद्यालय, 8 अध्यापक विद्यालय ,80 वसतिगृहे चालवली जातात. इंग्रजी माध्यमाच्या एकूण 42 प्राथमिक शाळा व 31 पूर्व प्राथमिक शाळा आठ आश्रम शाळा व दोन औद्योगिक प्रशिक्षण संस्था चालविल्या जातात कर्मवीरांना जातिभेद व जन्मावर आधारित उच्चनीचता मान्य नव्हती ,त्यांनी समतेच्या तत्त्वाचा त्यांच्या संस्थांमार्फत व व्याख्यानातून प्रसार केला, श्रमाला प्रतिष्ठा मिळावी असे त्यांना वाटे, त्यादृष्टीने रयत शिक्षण संस्थेने 'कमवा व शिका' ही योजना राबवली. भारत सरकार तर्फे कर्मवीर भाऊराव पाटील यांना पद्मभूषण व पुणे विद्यापीठाकडून डि.लीट.ही पदवी प्रदान करण्यात आली. कर्मवीरांनी लावलेल्या रयत शिक्षण संस्थेच्या रोपट्याचे संस्थेच्या बोधचिन्हा प्रमाणे आता वटवृक्षात रूपांतर झाले आहे.ग्रामीण, शहरी भागात शिक्षणाचे वारे तळागाळात पोहचविणाऱ्या कर्मवीर भाऊराव पाटील यांचे 9 मे,1959 रोजी पुणे येथे निधन झाले. ________________________________________ karmaveer Bhaurao Patil was born on 22nd September 1887 in the village of Kumbhoj in Kolhapur district. His native village is Aitwade. While studying in Kolhapur, he was nurtured by the Satyashodhak Samaj. He was influenced by the thoughts and deeds of Mahatma Phule, VR Shinde and Shahu Maharaj. Established Dudhgaon Vidya Prasarak Mandal (1920) and Dudhgaon Vidyarthi Ashram at Dudhgaon. On 4th October 1919, Kale, Tal. Established Rayat Shikshan Sanstha at Karhad, District Satara. He emphasized on the principles of self-reliance, self-study, self-respect and freedom in education. Many primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and hostels were established by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha. Established Silver Jubilee Rural Training College, the largest educational institution in Maharashtra. Established common hostels for all religions and castes. About 700 primary schools were opened all over Maharashtra on behalf of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha and later these schools were handed over to the Government of Maharashtra. At present, Rayat Shikshan Sanstha has a total of 438 secondary schools in Maharashtra, including five English medium secondary schools. A total of 42 English medium primary schools and 31 pre-primary schools, eight ashram schools and two industrial training institutes are run. The organization implemented the 'Earn and Learn' scheme. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil was conferred the degree of Padma Bhushan and D.Litt. Frm Pune University by the Government of India. The sapling of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha planted by Karmaveer has now been transformed into a banyan tree as a symbol of the organization.
